October!

It's October 1st!!!!

yay!
I love October. It's also one month closer to moving back home.
Yes!

I had a really good day today.
I got some work done on two new paintings. These are part of my self portrait series I have been struggling with. I think these are going along pretty nicely...

I don't know what color I should make the scarf and the pants, in the second one. I was thinking dark brown...I also don't know how I feel about the collage along the bottom. I feel like I was some collage element in it, but I was trying to do something a little different.

The one of my shoes is going pretty well too. I want to include a collage in there too. I just haven't figured that out yet.

I like them so far.
That's all I got today.

Hi Michele- these look great so far. brown seems like a good choice for the scarf and i see a great spot for collage on the shoes painting...i like the tiny bit of collage for color and balance (your composition is always spot on!) beth

These are wonderful. I really like the collage, especially how the colors work of the other colors in the piece.

These are GREAT! I like the collage lots. It looks like a windowsill with you and Chloe on the other side. depth.

The rains have started. just a few minutes ago and for the next 4 days. good to sleep in...

The way you use red is so amazing!

I wanted to stop by and say hello! I saw a series of "Tiny Art" in one of the Portsmouth, NH, art galleries. They were all so beautiful. There's something about seeing these prints in person, the way the textures move across the canvas!

I'll be excited to see how these turn out!

My 2 year old daughter is sitting on my lap. I didn't even have a chance to read your blog, because as soon as she saw the first picture, she said "shoes! dats daddies shoes. no dats mommies. no i wear dem, on my feet. i want to dook at pictures. no, I play with ball".

I'll have to come back to actually read it, later, hehe.

The one with your dog is AWESOME.. to me, you need to add any more colors.. it stands alone as is... creating a strong image and impacts the important aspects of the painting. That's just my opinion. Will they become available for sale or are these going into your personal archives?

I am still working on them.

I got a lot more work done on them Thursday...I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

I think these are going to the Enormous Tiny Art Show that is happening in February in a gallery in New Hampshire...I haven't decided yet....
