It is the most perfect day in Portland today. I'm finding myself in a good place for the first time in weeks.
It feels good.
I'm focusing on adding new illustrations to Etsy while focusing on what makes me happy.
I get too caught up in what I think people would like to buy, and so that's what I try to make...
So, I've been doing some little exercises to try to prevent that. Mostly making art for myself, knowing I won't be sharing it with anyone. It's good. I like it.
Okay, this is the last stop on my to-do list!
I did update the shop with some new illustrations, so be sure to check those out as well!

I LOVE the water tower. It reminds me of classic movies like Stand by Me! Do what you love, that's what others will love too. If you draw something and think, gosh, I want to keep this original then you know you've got a winner.
I love your work. I understand that feeling though. It is really hard to keep the buyer's market out of the equation when you would like to be making a living off of your work. Just remember to stay true to yourself and you can't go wrong.
