Camping adventures

Creek right next to our campsite.
Hi!

Nate, Chloe and I were camping the past three days at Cape Perpetua, located near Yachats, Oregon. This state never ceases to amaze me with it's beautiful hiking trials and sites.

Hiked to this little beach one morning.
Our camp site was located just a 1.5 mile hike from a beautiful ocean overlook. The site itself was located right next to a little brook and was set back about 50 feet from the road.

Nate made pancakes for breakfast!
The weather was wonderful. It rained one night, just a little bit. We really lucked out considering the Oregon coast is notorious for it's cold, rainy, year long weather.

Setting up our tent.
I lived without e-mail, texts and internet for three days and it was wonderful. Really, really, wonderful. We built fires, played Trivial Pursuit, went for hikes (Chloe went too, and she was a champ!) and enjoyed the calm and peaceful surroundings.

S'mores.

Last night fire.
We're back in Portland now, and unfortunately I developed a bit of a cold... but the weather is beautiful here and I fully intend to enjoy every last minute of this vacation.
