Lessons in Screen Printing

1. Don't coat your screen too thick.

2. Leave screens to dry for at least 3-4 hours with a fan...without a fan, over night.

These are the first two lessons I have learned the last two days.
Unfortunately by experience.

I decided that even though I had a really good idea about how to make a screen, I should actually sit down and watch the video that they sent with the kit. I am really glad I did...

Anyway, screens are drying and up until 10 minutes ago I had no idea what kind of work I wanted to be making with my screen printing adventures. It was really starting to frustrate me.

You know when you really want to paint, or draw, or whatever, and you just can't think of what to make? Or when you have really great ideas, but you don't know how to translate them onto a 2 dimensional surface. Or, you have great ideas, and concepts, and you know what you want to do, but you have no idea how to work with the medium you have? Well, those are ALL the things that I have been fighting today. And Yesterday.

But I came up with an idea, and with a little help from Mike, we can do it!
I want to make some limited edition posters of the above image :)
My boyfriend is pretty awesome.
