Done. almost.

So, I think I'm pretty much done with my latest commission.
I'm going to work on the woman's hand a bit more, but other than that I'm done.

Hooray!

I'm posting a picture of the couple so you can see what they look like.

The pug painting was a success! My client loved it and so did her husband. It's always a relief when you clients love your work.

In other news, I've listed some new prints over in my Etsy shop. The originals are going to be in a group show for the month of July at Gigantic Gallery in Portland. I'm really happy with how they came out. I feel like I was able to communicate my love for drawing and mark making in these pieces. I feel like I was also able to express my love of living in the Northwest.

In other, other, news, Nate and I have been seriously thinking about adopting another dog. We met up with Amy over at the Pixie Project this morning. She brought a little guy named Turkey over to meet Chloe. Unfortunately, Chloe tried to eat him and seemed generally uninterested in meeting him.

Needless to say, I was pretty dissapointed. I've been keeping my eye on Turkey for months, and would have really liked to adopt him.

Amy was super sweet and said she would help us find the perfect dog for us and for Chloe. I hope someone adopts Turkey soon. He is a sweet little guy and deserves a great, loving, home.

Well, tomorrow is the 4th! Hope everyone has a super fun week :)

Baby Chloe

I was just looking through these old pictures of Chloe and thought I would share them.

She was so tiny and cute! Brace yourself and warn those sitting around you. You might start to squeal at a very high pitch when you see these... :)

Puppy Girl!

So Mike and I went to visit our new puppy on Saturday.
We actually got to pick her out. I thought it was going to be a really hard decision...
Charity showed us the three available females that she had. The first one was a rolly poly little thing, very sleepy. The second one was very similar. It was their nap time so they weren't very active. The first one was four weeks old and the second was exactly two weeks. Anyway they were both ridiculously cute. As she was showing us the second puppy she mentioned that she also had a female runt with that litter. Then she pulled out this tiny little baby puppy, that was half the size of her sisters and brothers. She literally fit into the palm of my hand.
So almost immediately we knew that we wanted her. We both have a thing for the "underdog." (No pun intended.) We also loved her markings which aren't the markings of an average Boston Terrier. One side of her face is black and the other is left white with some black splotches. I took some pictures but it seems the camera wanted to focus on the little girl instead of the puppy...
The tentative pick up date is November 9th, but Charity might keep her a little longer because she is so little. She said she will probably start catching up to her other siblings as soon as she is de-wormed and has a chance to really start eating.
We are both really excited about her. It will be so nice to have a little companion around.
