Getting Out

Have you seen the new Ben Affleck movie, The Town, yet?

You should. Not only is it a great movie, but yours truly has a print in it!

Last year Paramount contacted me, through Etsy, about having some of my prints in their upcoming movie. I agreed to it and sent several files, with my images, over to them.

I forgot about the whole transaction until a couple of weeks ago when I saw a trailer for it. Nate and I went to go see the movie yesterday, mostly so we could spot my art in the film.

About half way into the movie, you can see one of my prints hanging in the main character's bedroom! I wanted to stand up in the theater and yell, "Hey! That's my print!" But I didn't :)

It was really cool to see my work in a movie! I'm hoping I get more opportunities!

Well, in other news I've been adding new reproduction prints to my shop! I am also participating in the opening of Portland Fashion week tomorrow night. Yikes! I'm excited, but I have no idea what to wear!

I'll let you know how it goes :)

Sleepy Time

It's fall in my neighborhood and I am thoroughly enjoying the colors and the cooler, rainy, weather. These are some of the trees I captured on my morning walk last week.

Fall has to be one of my favorite times of year.
The colors, and the smells, and the rain, are my absolute favorite things.

I'm getting back into my studio after being on a hiatus for awhile. I have a couple of new ideas for paintings, and I'm hoping to get started on them tomorrow.

I was recently asked to have my art be in a film that's coming out next fall. Of course I said yes! How cool. It's called "The Town" and my work will be in in the room of the main characters girlfriend's apartment :) So cool!

Well, I hope everyone has a good week!
