Yikes! It's been awhile!
I have been so busy lately. Between my day job and getting my show for Tilde together, it's been a bit of a hectic couple of weeks.

7 Days

7 days until moving day.

amazing.

Michael's mom, partner, daughter, and her friend arrived last night!!
It's so nice to see some faces from home. So nice.

Things are going to be pretty crazy from here on out. I've been trying to hold some sort of normalcy, but this morning as I was making my bed I realized that trying to maintain that normalcy is just going to make me go crazy. I need to embrace the chaos that is moving and go with it. I need to realize that things like running, and trying to maintain my work schedule, is just not going to happen until we get settled in Portland again. and that's okay.

Well, I need to get this day started.

Can't Sleep

I haven't really been able to sleep very well the last week or so.
I fall asleep okay, pass out is a better term, but then I wake up at 6 am, and can't go back to sleep...

I've never been able to sleep in. I think the longest I've ever slept in was 10 am.
Oh well. I just have a lot of stuff going on in my head, and I can't seem to just turn it off.

Packing is going well. We've got a lot done so far, and we're off to get more boxes today. Michael's mom, and family will be arriving on Wednesday for the graduation, which is on Friday.
It's going to be so nice to see familiar faces! It's been about a year and a half since we've seen them.

Moving day is getting so close. I can't believe it's getting so close. In roughly three weeks we'll be home! I'm happy, anxious, and excited. I can't wait to see my friends...That's probably why I can't turn my mind off.

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend! I've got a pretty busy day ahead of me, so I guess I should get started on it.

Art Art Art!

Hello!

So today we started to pack a little bit and I'm discovering that I have a lot of art that I don't necessarily have time to post on Etsy. So, my plan is to post some items here on my blog, and if you're interested in purchasing them, you can send me an e-mail, and I can send you an invoice via Paypal. This will be a first come, first serve basis :)

So here is the first piece:

It's an original painting that measures 7x7" and is 1.5" deep.
You'll notice that the gesso did start to crack a bit, and I have no idea why. It was just fine until I added the layer of wax. But, like I said there is a nice layer of wax sealing it all in, so it shouldn't effect the painting at all. I'm asking $55.00, and that includes shipping.
