Learning....

as I get older I'm realizing that I need my space. Lots of space.

But, sometimes, too much sp
ace makes me miss people. Much too much.
I need to find
a balance.

On
another note, I didn't win the Poppy, BUT, thank you to those who did vote for me!

I'll be in my studio
all weekend if you need me!
Hope everyone h
as a good week end.

Stuff

The day started out so well.

and slowly, so slowly, things got hard.

I feel like sometimes this time of ye
ar should be so happy and joyful, and I'm just not feeling that. I know I'm not the only one. This time of year is hard for many people.

This city is gre
at, and I love it so much, but it's also filled with a lot of memories. Memories of people I use to know. Things I use to do. Places I use to spend time. all of these things make me remember how things use to be, or people I now miss.

Sometimes I wonder if I will ever not miss things. It seems like I spend
a lot of time missing things, places, and people. a friend of mine told me last week not to dwell so much on the future, or the past, because life is good right now.

Th
at's what I need to remember every day. Things are good right now.

I thought I would post
a photo of Chloe and my room mates dog Bebo :) The two of them together make me laugh. Goofy girls.

Today is...

Going to be hard.

I already feel tired, and homesick and lonely.
I don't mind spending time by myself. In fact, I would rather be by myself most of the time. However, there is a difference between wanting to be by yourself, as a choice, and having to be alone.

Living here doesn't help either. In Portland I could just walk to go get some coffee and hang out. Here the closest thing to that is a 15 minute drive and Starbucks. I really don't want to hang out in a Starbucks.

Sometimes I wish I was more social, and nice.

Anyhow. I am looking forward to New York, and I am really looking forward to seeing Butch. I miss him. I am also looking forward to seeing a million water towers and taking pictures of all of them.

I should call people.

Thanks everyone for commenting on all my frames and my paintings. :)
It always means a lot to me.
