Hike in the Woods

Woods
Yesterday Nate and I took advantage of the beautiful day and went for a hike at Multnomah Falls. Multnomah Falls is located about 45 minutes outside of Portland. There are many trails you can hike and we've done several of them over the past few years.

Being that it was Monday there weren't a lot of people out hiking. For most of our hike it was just Nate and I. It was so nice to be the only ones in the woods. It was so quiet and very peaceful.

It was just what I needed after a very busy week.
We kind of lost track of what trail we were on, but we continued on anyway. We hiked for several hours before deciding that maybe we should think about heading back home. It was one of the first hikes we've done where we didn't get to the summit, but we really had a wonderful day.

There was a steady river running along most of the trail that we were hiking on. It was a fairly warm day and we kept thinking about just jumping into the water, and by the end of our hike we found a great spot to stick our feet. It felt amazing after walking for 3 and 1/2 hours.

We seem to always end our hiking days with a a delicious dinner and yesterday was no exception. after much debate we settled on Grain and Gristle and it did not disappoint. We finished our meal with a goat cheese raspberry tart. It was perfect.

Lucky!

I sometimes forget how lucky I am to live in Oregon.

I spent a year and a half living in a place that was the complete opposite of where I live now, and sometimes I forget just how fortunate I am to live here.

Yesterday Nate and I went on a 12 mile hike at Multnomah Falls. Multnomah Falls is located about 20 miles outside of Portland. There are many trails you can hike on and many waterfalls to see. It started out being very cloudy and cool, but by the time we were done the sun had come out and we both had worked up a good sweat.

It was really beautiful. The foliage and the falls were so inspiring. Towards the end of our hike we came across a small bridge located right under a water fall. We stood there feeling the force of the wind on our face and the mist of the fall. It was amazing. Just what we needed after such a long hike.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Busy Days

Yikes.

It's been awhile since I blogged!

My show opening went well on Friday. Thanks to everyone who came out :)

I've really been just been taking the last few days off to try to regroup and refuel.
It's been great. I went hiking yesterday up at Multnomah Falls. It was such a beautiful day. I'm so glad I got to be outside enjoying it. I wish I had photos, but I can't seem to upload the pictures from my camera....

Hope everyone is having a great week so far :)
