a little inspiration

It has been a truly gorgeous day outside.

I was finally able to get out and enjoy it this afternoon. Chloe and I went for a nice long walk in one of the parks close to our house.

We've been having some serious wind here, and it's knocking down lots of leaves, branches and pine cones. I found these little gems along the way. I may just have to paint them...

 I also started a new painting today. I like how it's going so far.

Tuesday!

It was a cold, cold, day in Portland today. It actually snowed a bit last night! It's going to get down to 17 degrees tonight! Brrrrr! It reminds me of living in Michigan.

I have the next couple of days off and I am so so happy. It's been crazy busy at work and I am so thankful that I don't have to be there today, tomorrow, or the next day.

I found these mushrooms the other on my walk with Chloe, the other day.

I drew and painted them and I'm pleased with how they turned out!
They'll be posted in my Etsy shop tomorrow.
