Downtown!

My friend Taryn, of TalkingSquid, moved here from Detroit a couple of months ago. Not only did she move here, but she moved into the same apartments that I live in! We're neighbors! How cool is that?

Well, we decided to take a little adventure downtown today. We stopped in the cutest shop on SW Washington. It's called Flora and it is definitely in the business of cute and pretty. One of my all time favorite artists, Trish Grantham, was having a show there. I just adore her work so much. I will treasure the piece I own, always!

We also stopped in Tender Loving Empire. I love this store too. They feature tons of local artists and musicians.

Trips like these always makes me realize how lucky I am to live here. The summers are so amazing and the city itself is so inspiring. Not to mention the artists who live, and work here, are also so inspiring and amazing. I'm a happy girl.

Chloe Baloney!

So yesterday I got a really nice surprise from Wendy of 2 Dog Studio!
She sent me a couple of prints of this painting that she had done of my dog Chloe :D

This makes the fourth piece of art that has been painted of her.
The third one I got at the beginning of the week from Brian Rubenacker!
Michael ordered it for me as a surprise :)

So we added two more pieces of Chloe art to our Chloe art collection. Trish Grantham painted one for me last year, and Leigh Jackson sent one to me in December.

I want to get them all framed and hang them above her kennel when we move back to Portland.
My little girl is so popular, and she doesn't even know it :)

Hope everyone is having a good Thursday!
I will be posting my secret blog dealy tomorrow!

Printing printing printing

It came!

My press came! yay!
It came on Tuesday actually...but I wanted to post pictures of it when it was all set up and ready.

So we got it all set up and ready and I printed all weekend :)

I am so happy that I got it. Even if I can't really afford it...it makes me so happy.
So happy.

So yeah. I will be adding a lot of prints to my shop over the next few weeks.
I am also working on a group show that I will be part of in New Hampshire in September.

Printing and painting...I am happy.

Now...if my Etsy sales would just speed up a little bit faster...it's been pretty slow this last week. I am thinking positive thought thought. Positive thoughts positive thoughts.

Also! Something else really really exciting came in the mail on Friday!
Trish Grantham, one of my very favorite Portland artists sent me something :) A little portrait of my Chloe Bologna!! Yes, it's true!! How very cool of her!! I L O V E it! So much.
It looks just like her, and yes, she even painted her little tongue hanging out a little bit.
