Let's Go

I started this illustration yesterday.

I'm still working on it, but I feel like it's coming together and will be done soon. I saw this beach wood structure on the beach during our camping trip last month. I loved how it looked and I love it when people create shelters like this on the beach.

Work in progress.
I always ask my self, "Why?", when I see things like this. Why did they feel compelled to put it together? Did they really need the shelter? Maybe they were bored? Maybe they needed a place to spend the night?

Inspiration.
Whatever the reason it is that they built it, I like it.

Hello!

Let's Build a Boat
I thought I would share the two new pieces I was able to finish and get listed this week.

There is this original painting here  and this little watercolor painting here.

I was hoping to get 2 more listed, but I was really struggling this week. I started 3 illustrations and completely overworked all of them.

I'm ususally good at knowing when a piece is finished and I'm able to walk away and start something new. This week I just kept on working them until they really didn't make any sense.

It's okay, it happens. Not everything is going to turn out great all the time. However, it would be nice to get those hours back.

Half awake (how I feel right now....)
Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Craving Color

Not sure what to do next...

I don't know about that. We got quite a bit of snow today, but it didn't stick.

I've been doing a lot of puttering in my little office studio the last couple of days. I don't have much direction. My goal is to just sit and create and watch what comes of it.

I did this little piece yesterday. I think I was hungry for a little color in my day. I don't know what I'm going to do with it next. I might just leave it. I kinda like it the way it is.

Today I made some tiny paintings that reflect the dark weather we've been having. Maybe I'll share those on the blog tomorrow!
