New Work!!

Yay! I posted some new items on Etsy. It feels like it's been eons since I've done it!

I have some more, but I like to stager my postings. Besides, I am not quite done with some paintings...I'll post some pictures of those here.
I have decided that all the work that I have done since moving here relates to waiting. I feel like I am constantly waiting. Waiting for school to be over. Waiting to move back home. Waiting for Spring. Waiting, waiting, waiting. Before we found out that we would be moving we were waiting to hear back from schools. Then when we found out, we were waiting to move. It seems like when you are at this point in your life your whole existence revolves around waiting. Everything seems to stagnant and temporary. It can be so frustrating.

I am also fascinated by these images of old typewriters I found in some old typewriting manuals. I love looking at old technology and comparing it to the newest gadgets. The new Apple Air vs. an old Remington typewriter. The contrasts are so funny.

Anyway, I had a pretty productive morning. We got up to go to the gym like we usually do Thursday-Sunday. It snowed about 3" last night, but we figured that the freeway would be ok to drive. After all this is Michigan and it is a workday. We were wrong. The freeways were awful. We almost went off the road a couple of times and people generally drive like well, I won't say it, but you know...

So we turned around and went home. No gym today.
But, I did get a lot of work done. My work for the show is just about totally done. I have a couple more things to do, and then I start packaging them up.

So everyone and their mom got to see the season premier of Lost last night. Except me. I get to watch it tonight. Yay! I am so stoked! So that's what I'll be doing tonight.

That's it for today. It's still snowing a little outside. We are suppose to get 8 inches today. I can't wait until Spring...

oh my... wonderful paintings. i want, want one of your paintings and when we sell our other house (long story and slow real estate market) it'll be first on my get to have list. Can you post how to view your upcoming show online? And, I love that you tagged me, but I don't understand how to respond. Full of questions, that's me. The snow has melted and it's 47 degrees. Feels balmy. I would have a hard time with snow all winter long... i love reading your blog. Well, must go, Monty the greyhound is begging me for a walk... Janice

Hey Janice!
The last time I checked Papercuts and Gluesticks website was still under construction and it looks it still is. www.papercutsnadgluesticks.com

As far as tagging goes, you can copy and paste the questions that I answered in my survey into your blogger under new post. Then just delete my answers and use your doggies answers :) It's just something fun to do when you want to blog but have nothing particularly important to say. Don't feel as though you have to!

Thankfully I will be visiting San Diego next month and will get a much needed and deserved break from winter!! Oh I hope to spend one day sitting on the beach. If it's warm enough.

Its freezing rain and sleet in Upstate NY today. Kept me from the gym too :(

I love this paint of the type writer! It reminds me of going and sneaking into my grandma's office

I am a sucker for these chairs you are doing. So sweet, and a little lonely. This is good work.

I understand the waiting...
