Friday!
It's Friday!
Yup!
Ok, I don't have a lot to talk about today.
The self portraits are slow going. It's really hard to do them.
Well, I have one drawn out and ready to paint...but the other one I am working on is tough.
I've drawn and erased all day, and in the end all I am left with is a gessoed panel.
Maybe today is not my day for drawing. Honestly, all I have wanted to do all day is drink Diet Coke and read People Magazine...maybe some US Weekly. Oh well....
So! Who's going to watch the debate tonight??
I heard John McCain already has an ad campaign that praises his winning the debate :)
Well, I think I'm done for today.
tomorrow is the farmer's market and steam cleaning the rugs!
Hope everyone has a terrific weekend!

these are good
I love your water towers... we don't have many of them here, not like your ones, they really are a beautiful piece of man madeness...
sometimes a mag day is just what you need...
I could imagine a self portrait being very hard indeed. I remember doing my first one at art school and bringing it home to show my daughter... I held it up and said what do you think of this, she replied... you drew grandma, that was my last one ever, ever.
I am having a wonderful weekend home alone...
awwww...you drew grandma!
That's kinda funny :)
We had a debate watching party for 41 people (25 kids!!!) It was a great time and we raised a bunch o'cash! YAY!
I love your water towers....they are so dark and lonely looking yet they hold the key to our existence....really nice work.
The images are stunning, emotional, and melancholy. I know art days just like the one you've had....I probably know them better than you, but just the same, they don't make ya feel so accomplished or able. A step back is a good idea. Candy...candy is what I step back to. :))
