Getting Things Done!

Ok!

I feel like I am 95% back to normal today.
I got a lot of stuff done today and I am feeling pretty proud of myself.

One of things that I got done was finishing the four paintings that have been sitting behind me the last month and a half. I just needed to put the finishing touch of beeswax on them...but was so preoccupied with everything else that it seemed like such a hassle. So they have been sitting behind me for awhile just waiting to be done, and today they were finished! yay me!

Michael is giving his 2nd year presentation tonight! Eee! I can't wait to see it.
I guess he said he might put a picture of Chloe in it. :) The 2nd year presentations are really informal and sometimes people do some pretty funny stuff. Anyway, i am excited to see what the painting department comes up with for the opening skit...I have heard some stories.

Anyway...I am thinking about doing this series of self portraits...and I am really excited about them. I am also a little nervous. What I have in mind is really personal, and it's kinda scary thinking about putting myself out there like that. But I feel like it's something that I really want to explore...

So yeah. Oh! I got my very own tube of Williamsburg Titanium White the other day. I made sure to put my name on it. Just in case Michael tries to steal it from me :)

Alright. Well. I need to get back to doing "stuff." Hope everyone's week is going well so far!

Congrats on your productivity.

These works look great.
I especially love the second one with the birds and the lines.. Beautiful.

I am interested in your self portrait project. It seems the more we put ourselves out there the more people respond.. It is scary, but I bet it will be great...

I too love the one with the birds at the end of the lines... you do such lovely lines.

(if you don't mind blood and you can cut like you draw you could be a surgeon)

The self portrait series sounds interesting, I am thinking on similar lines, putting what makes me, me into my work (if that makes sense)?

look forward to seeing them...

I can so relate to the 'art sitting and waiting to be finished...so close but yet so far' idea. It seems to be my story quite often. I love these and look forward to your self-portraits!
