Hey

So today is one of those days that I really need to just get over myself.
Just a lot of self doubt and worry today...

So yeah. I don't really want to get into it, because it's just really silly.

Anyway. I need some new music to listen to and would love some suggestions :)

I found these crazy "brain balls" in the woods behind our apartment. I could only find two, but I want to find more...

Okay. That's it.
Not a lot.
Hope everyone is good and safe.

THOSE ARE O'SAGE ORANGES!!!! And I love them! I personally call them ogres balls but brain balls work too! They only grow in the fall and they are gross and sticky inside and are pretty much useless but I still love them!

i love the colour of those brain balls.

i also think that you should write to whoever is in charge of naming flora and fauna and suggest they change the name!

those are some scary flora items! sometimes things found in nature are much creepier than what we create. And what amazes me is how patterns are duplicated across the nature spectrum. I have seen gall stones that look just like that!

I am sure these are facts you wanted to know... yuk.

We call them hedge apples around here. They are terrific for keeping away spiders, ants, flies and such!! Keep them on windowsills, counters, etc..

You're lucky, people actually BUY them over the internet!

Wow!
Great music suggestions everyone!
I have to take some time, sit down, and listen to everything. I have a lot of Minus the Bear, and I love it. They were one of my favorite bands to go see when I lived in Portland.

I also love Andrew Bird and Wilco. As well as the Smiths! So looks like I have a lot of homework to do today :)

Maybe I should call them gall stone balls, Janice :)
I've seen them at the farmer's market around here, and they sell for like $5.00 each! I tried to find some more, but those were the only two. Maybe I'll see some more today.

Thanks again for all the music suggestions :)

I always thought those brain balls were hedge apples? My mom used to put them in the corners of the basement to keep spiders out.
