The Sprawl

I've been hearing lots of crickets in my Etsy shop lately.

For the last few weeks I've been really worried about my lack of sales. But, today, I put that worry on the back burner.

September has always been a slow time for me. Instead of worrying I am going to focus on my shop, and build up items for the holidays. I am NOT going to over work myself, or my creativity doing this either. I am going to take it slow. Making things only when I feel inspired. Listing things only when I feel like I want to.

I do not want this to take over my life and I do not want this to seem like a job. I want to enjoy my work. I want to enjoy my life. I start working at my other job full time at the end of October. I most likely won't have a day off until January. Now is the time for me to take days off and spend time with my pup and my friends.

In other news, I've been listening to the newest album by Arcade Fire, almost non-stop. I really love it. My new favorite song is The Sprawl 2. I think I've listened to it at least 40 times since receiving the album :)

I think fall is generally slow because it's time to ramp up for the holiday season! I also think the cloudy weather doesn't help. :) Are you doing any craft/art shows for the holidays?

I have to work full time starting at the end of October, and unfortunately that means weekends....

Hi
Its a great album my favourite though is the sprawl ( mountains beyond mountains)Its sums up how I feel most of the time :-)
Your work is excellent I've followed your blog and Flickr site for awhile but never commented, thought I should stop being so lazy and tell you your work is fantastic.

Don't give up its always easy to get disheartened, you have a great plan and you're right taking your time if it ain't fun then whats the point?
Take care
and good luck with your new job.
