Weekends are Good.

It w
as a rainy Sunday so we spent it at the Portland art Museum. We saw the work of Lee Kelly who is mostly a sculpture artist. He also painted these really great paintings, which I liked more than the sculptures.

We
got to see part of the Herb and Dorothy Vogel art collection. If you haven't seen the documentary about them you really should. It's a fascinating and really cute story.

I
always enjoy a trip to the museum. I love studying the paint strokes and Nate likes figuring out what kind of surfaces the artists painted on.

I've been going to the Portl
and art Museum since I was in college, and they have quite a few paintings that are always there. I love seeing those too. It's like seeing an old friend.

We went to a huge book sale, on the way home and i got a great typography book and a large bird book!
Gre
at weekend and I am already looking forward to the next one.

That's funny! I went to the Art Museum on Sunday too! The Jeff Koons and Leon Golub paintings in the basement are amazing... not to mention the giant silver Murakami piece.

Ps. The PSU Cha Cha Cha was torn down!! I loved that place.
