Keeping with it

I realized something very important this week.

I realized how much artists and crafters need each other. We need each other for accountability, feedback, support, and friendship. It can be such a lonely task and often we get accustomed to the solitude that goes into making. But it is so important to get out and talk with other people in the same profession. It's not only important for our work but also our being.

I think pet friends are important too. Chloe is always my comic relief for the day...

Okay, that's my little revelation for the week :)
hope everyone has a great weekend.

Agreed! Sometimes it is hard to make the effort if you don't do it often, but I always am so happy when I do. I love my cat more than the world, but it is quite nice to talk to someone that can carry on a conversation and empathize with you. :)

damn Chloe's cute! I agree it is nice to get out and among real people - I also like knowing there are other people like us all over the world working all alone in little rooms making things ... with our animals, of course

Yeah, sometimes one does need the ol' kick in the butt validation that can only be gotten from other folks who create too.

I agree...it's so easy to bury yourself in your work (I call it my hermit time).
For me I need to focus solely on painting till my projects complete and then I reward myself with social coffee dates and good dinner parties.

Michele,
I think I know how you feel being a creator.
It must be pretty tough sometimes.
But you gotta follow your instinct of creation. And I like what you make.
