Sunshine

Squirrel Baby.
Oh the sun was shining today and it was so great!

Chloe and I went for not one, but two walks. It felt so great to stick my face in the warmth. I definitely needed that. Vitamin D from the sun! It really does wonders.

Dancing Mountain Cat
Ah. So I feel a lot better. I still feel a little down about my art/career/financial situation, however I feel my determination to make it work has returned.

I'm sure it happens to the best of us. That self doubt and self pity that over comes your brain from time to time. Telling us we're not good enough. Comparing ourselves to others whom you think are in a better situation. Sometimes it's hard to stop and tell ourselves that all of that is BS, with a capital BS... It's true.

Birthday card in progress.
In other news, I've been trying to illustrate a birthday card I liked for over a year now. I think I've attempted them 4-5 times. I just never seem to like what I draw. I'm really liking how this birthday card is coming along so far. I thought I should draw something I really like, something I would like to receive for my birthday. Chloe, was my answer. So there she is. Who knows? Maybe she'll finally start helping to pay some bills around here.

My sister loves rats, so I drew and painted this for her.

I also finished two illustrations and listed a new cat illustration in my Etsy shop. I was cranking it out today! It felt good. It felt right.

I will make this my full time job. I know it.

I think I know just how you feel. I found this somewhere. Maybe it will help you. Keep up the great work!

Your artwork is wonderful! Love all of the lines within each of the animals to imply the texture of the fur! I really do think every artist goes through what you are going through, comparing themselves to others (trust me...I do it all the time!) Great work:)
