Happy Halloween!

It's Halloween!

Nate's is on the right!
Nate and I carved pumpkins yesterday, and he made some tasty pumpkin seed snacks. This is out first Halloween living in a house, and I'm really hoping to get lots of Trick or Treaters. We've got a couple of bags of candy, some Halloween hats, and some decorations. Hopefully we get some kids!

Halloween also marks the beginning of working 40+ hours a  week at my day job...

Well, it's only for a couple of months, then I'll be back to part time day job, and full time art making. Besides, with two Chloe surgeries, my funds are very tight right now. Working extra hours will definitely be very helpful right now.

Speaking of pups, Chloe had her stitches out this morning and is almost fully mended. Hooray!

Hope everyone has a safe and wonderful Halloween!

Friday!

It's Friday.

I went and got the majority of things I need for my costume today! Halloween is a week away folks, and this year, I am determined to have a great costume. Usually I put this off until the day before, or the day of, but this year is different. This year I actually have a place to wear my costume, and this year...well...I'll put it this way... This year, when I wear glasses with my costume, it actually makes sense.

Anyway. I think it's going to be fun.

Eeeeeeeee! Tomorrow is the Boston Terrier Meetup, and it's a Halloween costume one! EEEEeeee!!! Can you tell I am excited! Also, Brian Rubenacker is going to be there with his wife, and their 2 Bostons. Yay! I'll post pictures on Monday. :)

So, October sales haven't been really awesome. Sooooo...I think tomorrow night, around 5PM, I am going to be participating in a little thing Etsy likes to call Saturday Night Special. I think that's sounds a little naughty, hehe. Anyway, I won't give away all the details, but if you're interested, check my shop announcement around 5:00 tomorrow night!

Alrighty, hope everyone has a good weekend.
Be safe! And if you're interested, be sure to check out my shop tomorrow evening!

Wow!

Thanks for all those awesome music suggestions!
It made my day today! :)

So...today was another wonderfully sunny fall day.
I am so use to Oregon. It's weird to me that it's not raining more.
It's sunny. Everyday. Weird.
Oh! But...I heard that it's supposed to snow on Monday.
Poop.

I like the snow. I just don't like to drive in it.
Especially since they don't really plow here.
They'll plow. Maybe. Once.

I also don't like when there is snow on the ground for more than 3 days.
It get's really old. Really fast.

Anyway, Chloe and I went on a hunt for more of the brain balls, or gall stone balls. or whatever you'd like to call them :) But I couldn't find any more, and Chloe was too busy trying to catch squirrels. So, she wasn't much of a help.

I thought that because it was so close to Halloween I'd post some pictures of the house that is on the same property as our apartment. I swear it's haunted. It's really creepy. The creepy factor doubled when I noticed that the curtains in the top left window are tattered and torn. Hello! Torn curtains = haunted house. Automatically.

Our landlord owns this house as well as our apartment house. There is one girl, a Cranbrook grad, who lives in it. I think there is also a guy...but I don't know what his story is. Anyway, she lives there and works there. When she moved in all of the original furniture was still there, and it's her job to photograph and organize it all. I think she also has to research the furniture, or something. I don't know. Weird. It sounds like a job my mom would love.

Anyway, it's creepy.

So that's it!
Tomorrow is Friday. yay!
Remember to check out Megan Chapman's blog :)
She writes a new, helpful, informative, blog every Friday!
Yay Megan!

3 Sales Away...

From 300!

Wow. I started my Etsy shop in March of last year, but I didn't really start listing things until last October...so this month marks the one year selling anniversary for me. I think 300 is pretty damn awesome.

I use to stalk Rachel Austin and Ashely G's shops...just to see how they did things. I was totally blown away with Rachel Austin's shop, and how she reached 300+ sales. She's at 869 now...and well, Ashley G is one of Etsy's top sellers. Maybe I'll get there...someday :)

Anyway, my 300th sale will of course get their order stuffed with lots of goodies!

I am still working on my paintings today. Not a lot of new news there. I did paint the skirt and the shoes in the one painting, and I am rally pleased with them. I'm thinking that I will post them on Etsy, next week. I am really curious as to how people will respond to them. I am not really sure what kind of price to put on them. They will definitely be priced above what I normally price my paintings at. Pricing is so weird to me sometimes...a year on Etsy and I still don't know how to price my work...
Anyway, look for them in my shop next week :)

Someone bought one of my typewriter illustrations yesterday, and he sent me a link to a portable typewriter forum! How cool. He sent me his blog/website too, and he has an amazing collection of typewriters...very cool.

Lets see...what else is new in my world...not too much...oh!
There is going to be another Boston Terrier meet up in a few weeks, and I think it's a Halloween themed one!! Eeeee!!!! BT's in costumes?! I'm going to take a million pictures...and post them all here. :)

Alright, back to work. Hope everyone is having a good Thursday.
