Etsy Shop Live Event

So I think I mentioned at the beginning of the week that Marichelle of Heart Handmade would be doing a special shop live event for Etsy this Thursday....
30 artists, for thirty minutes, tomorrow at 7pm!

I think I did forget to mention that I am one of said artists :) Yay!
There will be a special "secret code" that will be given out during the event too, which will give you 20% off anything in my shop for the rest of the evening. Be sure to get a seat early...I hear these things fill up pretty quickly.

Well, I think Spring might be slowly approaching. Finally.
I think my motivation has finally returned. I've been crossing things off my to-do list left and right today! It must be the sun.

Whew!

Okay. I'm still alive.

This weekend was crazy. The Spring Fling went so well! Thanks to all the vendors and everyone who came out to shop!

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and so many people came out, and there were so many great vendors, and really good music playing all day, and I got to drink really good beer all day! It doesn't get better than that.

Sunday was Michael's birthday! He turned 30 years old. We went out for coffee, and hung out, and went out with a bunch of people and drank fancy margaritas and ate some tasty food. Very good.

It's been really hard getting back into work mode after this weekend. I seriously don't have any motivation to do anything. The 3" of snow we got last night isn't helping at all with motivation...
Yes. You read that correctly. 3" of snow, and it's still snowing. My friend JC just called to brag about the beautiful weather in Portland right now...

Oh well. Hopefully I'll get it together soon.

Exciting Stuff!

So there's a lot going on over here in Pontiac, Michigan lately.

First thing is that Marichelle over at Heart Hand Made has put together a lovely little Holiday Zine!
It's a zine compiled of many artists and how they celebrate the holidays. It's also filled with little stories, recipes, and helpful hints! I'm in it along with Tangled Sky Studio, Ashely G, and Savor.
Also! You can download and print out a free, yes free, print from me!!
Hope you all like it.

Also, I was recently contacted by the band Minus Mark E about doing a cover for their new album. I agreed to do it, so you can look for my art work on their new upcoming album :)

Speaking of Etsy, I will be adding tons of new stuff to my shop this week and next week. So be sure to check it o f t e n.

Turkey Day is almost upon us. This year I will be attempting some vegan pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, and we'll see what else I feel up to. We're going to be celebrating with the rest of the Cranbrook kids in the painting department. Chloe will be joining us too! As well as a little Italian Greyhound. So she'll have a little pup to play with!

Snow!

Yes it snowed last night. Just a little bit...it all melted before I got a picture of it.

It's not officially winter yet, but it felt like it today.
Very cold.

I have been soooooo busy lately! Hence the lack of blog posts.
Saturday is The Detroit Urban Craft Fair, and I have been working my butt of trying to get ready for it. The following week is also the Ridge Fine Art Show...so I am trying to prepare for that at the same time.

Blerg. I always tell myself that I won't do any more craft/art fairs, but then I actually get there and I have so much fun. It's trying to prepare for them that makes me anxious. I never know how much to bring...and I am not very good at displaying 2-d art on a flat 6' x 8' foot table...

I have some plans though. Hopefully they'll work out.

Oh! I am also getting some cool stuff together for the Heart Hand Made gift guide...
I won't say what it is exactly, but I added a preview picture here :)

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well! I haven't been keeping up with my blog reading.
