Thanks Giving

Whoohoo!
Tomorrow we all get to stuff our faces and drink.

Yes! Whoever came up with this idea was genius.

Oh yeah, we also have to remember what we're thankful for while stuffing our faces...

So here is what I am thankful for:

1. My friends. All of my good friends. You are all like my family, and I miss you all terribly.
All of my blog/myspace/internets friends. You all keep me going and inspire me on a daily basis!
Thanks to you!

2. My dog Chloe. You remind me not to be so serious all the time. My life would not be as fun without you, little pup!

3. All of the people who enjoy and support my art. I would not be able to do what I do without all of you.

4. Music. Good music.

5. Hot running water. I am a total freak when it comes to taking showers. I take two a day, therefore, I am thankful for hot running water...

6. My apartment. It might not be in Portland, but it keeps me warm and protected from the sub zero temperatures here.

7. My fridge full of food and Diet Coke. I would die without you. Literally.

8. My boyfriend, Mikey!! You are really at number one, but I am too lazy to go back and retype things right now. I love you!!

9. The internets. Without you I could not make a living...well I could, but it wouldn't be as easy or fun...I am not thankful for how co-dependent you have made me on you. But, that's not really your fault. It's mine.

10. My health. I am a relatively healthy person...well my consumption of Diet Coke is a little unhealthy, but things could be a lot worse. Also, the health of all the people I love :)

11. Last but not least...my blingy blob counter downer thingy on my myspace page. You remind me that everyday is a little bit closer to home.

Yes!!
That's it.
What are YOU thankful for?

Exciting Stuff!

So there's a lot going on over here in Pontiac, Michigan lately.

First thing is that Marichelle over at Heart Hand Made has put together a lovely little Holiday Zine!
It's a zine compiled of many artists and how they celebrate the holidays. It's also filled with little stories, recipes, and helpful hints! I'm in it along with Tangled Sky Studio, Ashely G, and Savor.
Also! You can download and print out a free, yes free, print from me!!
Hope you all like it.

Also, I was recently contacted by the band Minus Mark E about doing a cover for their new album. I agreed to do it, so you can look for my art work on their new upcoming album :)
You can see their MySpace here.

Let's see what else...oh! I will be offering free shipping from Thanksgiving through Monday December 1st! yay!

Speaking of Etsy, I will be adding tons of new stuff to my shop this week and next week. So be sure to check it o f t e n.

Turkey Day is almost upon us. This year I will be attempting some vegan pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, and we'll see what else I feel up to. We're going to be celebrating with the rest of the Cranbrook kids in the painting department. Chloe will be joining us too! As well as a little Italian Greyhound. So she'll have a little pup to play with!

Alright, back to work!

August is Awesome

So, not only was my birthday in August, but I have also had the best sales month ever.

Which makes me feel really good, because the beginning of the month was practically dead.
One of the reasons I believe it has been so busy is because I was featured on http://sfgirlbybay.com/.

Yay! It's a really cute site, and I am so thankful to be featured on it :)

I have been doing a lot of work the last few days too. I am trying to get ready for Christmas and I have several art shows that I am doing this Fall, so I want to make sure I have a lot of stuff ready for that. I have also been trying to organize all my expenses and sales and what not for tax purposes. That hasn't been as fun...in fact it's pretty much poop on a stick.

Anyway, the work I have been making is getting a little more abstract, and the colors are really similar to my favorite colors in the fourth grade. But I am really happy with them.

So that's all I got for today. I have to keep this short because Chloe is dying to go outside and chase squirrels :) Hope everyone is having a great Wednesday.

Summer

Summer is not my favorite time of year.
Wait, I take that back.
Summer isn't so bad when you're hanging out with friends and BBQin' and camping, and having parties, and drinking beer out on shady patios...but seeing as I am doing none of those things, summer hasn't been that awesome.
Oh well. Next year is going to be different. I just gotta keep thinking ahead.

I found a new found love today and it's name is Williamsburgh Titanium White.
OMG. Where has this paint been all of my life? It paints so smooth, so even, so creamy...mmm...too bad it's like $40.00 bucks a tube. It might even be more. I don't know. Michael bought it. I happened to squeeze the very last of it out of the tube yesterday. Now I am hooked and I need more. It's like crack!

Anyway, Mike got these really great photos of Chloe Bologna today. That's her new last name. Or maybe middle name. Chloe Bologna Endo-Maule. We started calling her that because the gal who runs All-Mighty Clothing Company left a comment on my Flickr commenting on how Chloe's toungue looks like bologna :) So now her official name is Chloe Bologna.
