Happy Weekend!

Yesterday was soooo busy, but I did manage to get a new painting finished and listed! I really like this little red typewriter. It has a very sweet personality.

also, Nate, some friends, and I went down to Last Thursday last night and got to see Portland at it's best. If you don't live in Portland, Last Thursday is basically a huge street party with artists selling their wares, musicians playing in the street, and people dancing.

I ran into an old friend, Garrett Price, at Flight 64, where he was part of a group show. His lovely work is etched onto steel plates. He prints the images onto paper, but also shows, and sells the steel etchings from time to time. Most of the images are based on iconic, industrial, Portland architecture, and bridges. They're truly inspiring, and beautiful, and I hope you check out his website.

Okay, time to get ready for work! Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Getting There

I have a little over 2 weeks of full time work ahead of me.
It's been a little rough the last month and half. I feel like I've been working non-stop for weeks, but it's been paying off quite a bit so I can't complain :)

I am looking forward to having a day off and being able to relax just a tad.

I spent most of my day in my studio yesterday making these cute little typewriters. The teal one started to bubble up a little, so I have to go back and fix it...or start over...

In other news, it rained buckets here today! There's been some flooding and it looked like 4:30 outside all day.
I started day dreaming about summer a bit, then came back to reality rather quickly when I realized it was only December. :)

Tired.So. Very. Tired.

Wow.
I'm beat.
It's Tuesday and I'm still tired from the Crafty Wonderland craft fair.

It was a lot of fun. The sales weren't what I was expecting, but I got to meet some of my all time favorites.

I'm hoping to recoup over the next couple of days :)

Hope everyone is doing well!!
more posts to come this week :)

I Heart Portland

This last weekend I had some time to kill before work.

I heard that there was an art fair at the Buckman School so I thought it would be nice to check out. I was so surprised with how many Etsy sellers I came across while I was there. It was great!

Ryan Berkely, Rachael Austin, Brenda Rose, Two Sarahs and so many more were there. It was really cool seeing so many artists that I recognized from Etsy :)

It was a very fun show. Some of the children from the school played music too. Very sweet and cute. I'm glad I got a chance to check it out.
