Friday!

OK. So Friday isn't as significant to me as it is to other people, but whatever.

It's been a busy week. A crazy week. August has been the best month I have had on Etsy yet, and I am really pleased with that. September is next month, and I am really excited about that. Fall is right around the corner!

Anyway, I didn't get any work done today...so not much to talk about.
Michael didn't have to work until 4 today, and it's not easy for me to make things when he's around. I am someone who has to be alone, with music, to feel comfortable making art.

Speaking of music, I thought I would add some videos of some of the music I have been listening to lately.

I think I am obsessed with the new Death Cab for Cutie album.
I really love this video that they made for I Will Posses Your Heart.
I also have a huge crush on the lead singer, Benjamin Gibbard...but so does every other "indie" kinda girl :)

The Decemberists!
They're from Portland, and the Valencia is actually called the Palms, and is right down the street from where I use to work :) And the girl is actually in Portland band called Talkdemonic. She was also our barista at the Freshpot on Hawthorne in Portland....she makes an awesome soy latte.

I love this song. I love this band. I love her dance moves.

This song holds a special place in my heart. I worked at several supermarkets on and off for 7 years. I also really like this video, even though it's a little shaky, and it's not actually the Clash. It reminds me of my best friend and I. When we were in the 8th grade, our favorite thing to do was go to Target and puch each other around in the shopping cart...

Alright. That's all I got for today.
Hope everyone has a good weekend...

ooooooo I love trying out new music... thanks for sharing.

I like them all... except in the middle of the middle one, we had a little biggish earth quake!!! I thought it was the music shaking the desk at first...

Oh Valencia is one of my favorite songs, and one of my favorite Decemberists songs as well. It was fun to see the video for it. A strange take, not what I was picturing in my head when listening to the song.

Hubby and I are friends with the Decemberist Manager. We have seen them survive a lot of tragedy and are well deserving of some fame now.
