Tuesday Tuesday!

It's Tuesday.
Not the best day of the week....

Until right now! Ha!

That's right.
I'm doing a spontaneous give away, because Tuesdays don't get much love.

I am giving away a free 8x10" print of my Three Water Towers!

If you'd like the details you can look here.

all I need you to do is leave me a comment about what favorite band (or bands, I know it can be hard to pick just one) you have been listening to lately. It doesn't necessarily need to be a band, it could be a singer, or a rapper, or whatever.

alright! I'll be picking a random winner on Thursday morning!
Nice!

Good luck, and hope you have a great Tuesday!

ps. My name won't be on the print like it is in this image...

This Weeks Winner is....

Ta da!
Elizabeth Bauman!!
Yay! You can e-mail me your address at michelemaule@gmail.com :D

Thanks everyone for contributing your answers!
I really enjoyed reading them this week.
and thanks to everyone who contributed to this week, and all the other weeks give aways.
It's been a lot of fun, and I'm so glad I decided to do it all month.

It's a really nice day here today.
It started out nice and sunny, and now the clouds are moving in...but I'm just glad it's above 55 degrees right now. Seriously. It feels very nice.

I've been reading animal, Mineral, Miracle by by Barbra Kingsolver these last couple of days.
I worked for a local grocery store chain, and a couple of others, when I lived in Portland, so I knew a lot about the importance of buying local, and having your own garden. But, reading this book had really started to make me want to work in my garden again.

Right now we'd be growing lettuce, herbs, onions and starting our beans...sigh.
I can't wait. We'll be home in time to plant our tomatoes, our peppers, strawberries, and some flowers...so that will be good. I so miss digging in the dirt and making dinner with the things right from our back yard. There is something just so rewarding about that.

We were fortunate enough to have an amazing farmers market here. I'd have to say it is one of the best farners markets I've ever been to. The prices were so great! Portland farmers markets tend to be pretty expensive...I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe it's because they know people will pay those prices, I'm not sure, but I will miss making out like bandits at the one here...

Well, we've got about 48 days to go until we hit the road. Yes. That's 48 days :)

Blog Give away Week 3!

alright!

Here it is.
My blog give away number 3.
The 5x7" print that you could win is one of my newer prints, "My Boots."

This week my question is....
What do you want to be when you grow up.

I realize that most of us right now are fairly "grown up" but, what dreams or aspirations do you have right now. Where do you want to be in in the next 5 years...or 5 months.

For me I want to keep doing what I am doing, being an artist.
I love my work, and I hope I can continue to do this as a living.
I hope that I will be able to expand a bit, grow into some new shops or boutiques. I am also hoping to apply myself to some more gallery shows.
I am really hoping that this will be the year where I can finally afford health insurance!

I'd also like to start a family :)

So there is my answer.
I'd love to continue to be a working artist, and a mom, with health insurance when I grow up.

Now it's your turn.
Just leave your answer in the comments below, and on Thursday night I will draw a winner, and announce who it is on Friday afternoon!

2. In the morning Chloe likes to come snuggle right under my
arm, and sometimes she gives my hand little kisses. It's so cute!

3.
Getting mail from my friends. a letter or a postcard, or sometimes a present. Makes my day.

4. Sometimes, r
arely, Micheals dinners get switched to another night, and he surprises me by coming home several hours early. It happend last night, and it was such a nice surprise!

5.
a nice long 5 mile run on Mt. Tabor on a summer morning. I love seeing Mt. Hood and Hawthorne St. from there. Love it.

Getting so Close!

It feels like home is getting closer and closer!
We have 8 weeks and four days until Michael graduates.
So close!

It's beginning to feel more like Spring outside too.
Today is nice and sunny and right now it's about 36 degrees which actually feels warm to me now. after three months of below freezing temperatures, anything above freezing feels warm!

Oh! I did a little painting for Jen over at Indie Fixx, so if you would like to download some free art, head over there! There are some really wonderful artists to check out too.
Jessica Gonacha
Samantha Hahn
Stephanie Fizer
and me!!

The idea is to continue to share art even though the economy is so bad right now. Just because everyone struggling, doesn't mean they should be deprived of pretty things to hang in their homes :) I like that idea.

anyway, I hope everyone is having a good Wednesday!
Don't forget to leave a comment in the post below to enter to win a free 5x7" Water tower print!
I'll be picking the winner tomorrow night, so there is still time!
