Heat Hot Hot

So two weeks ago our land lord decided that he was going to cut down all of the trees on the side of our yard. I won't give you the reason...although if you e-mail me I'll give you the haps...but I knew that this was going to pretty much suck for us.

To begin with, without our trees we can see directly into our neighbors house. Which also happens to be a funeral home. Also, because all of those tress provided wonderful shady shade, without them our apartment gets pelted with sun from about noon until 7 o clock...which also means we have to run our air conditioner almost all day. Before we just turned it on at night so we could sleep a little easier. I hate using the air conditioner all day, but we would roast if we didn't.

Anyway, I was a little upset today at someone...not naming names...but Michael got this really funny picture of me going off on a rant :) and no that's not a crater in my face on the left side, it happens to be one of the many dimples I inherited from my grandma.

Between ranting and packaging up paintings, I managed to post a painting on Etsy. Things have been pretty slow these days over in Etsy land, so I signed up for the month long membership over at Trunkt. It's nice because it tells you a lot of stats that you wouldn't know otherwise. Like how many people visited your Etsy shop directly from Trunkt, and how many visits you got in a month, and how many showcases you are/were in. So we'll see how that goes. I don't think I am going to purchase the full year unless I start getting crazy traffic and sales, I just thought since it's been so slow this month I'd give it a try.

Alright. hope everyone is staying cool :)
Angie if you're reading this....I hope you're hangning in there!

we are in the middle of a storm at the moment, and it is very cold... so will swap some of your warmth for our chill.

love the pic.

I had all the gorgeous towering trees cut down at a house I rented once. I cried for two days! You have my full sympathy.

I can't stand it when people cut down trees, they really do keep things so much cooler. When will people learn..
ugh!
Love the pix.

hey michele, i'm from detroit originally and i know lower michigan needs all the trees and beauty it can get...northern michigan is awesome but the lower half is almost like another planet. a big thumbs down to your landlord!
