Okay

Chloe is doing just fine today and her stitches come out in less than a week! yay! I think we're both looking forward to next week, very much.

In the mean time I've been trying to get some new work done for my Etsy shop!
I start working full time again in a month! Oh my! I seriously can't believe September is tomorrow. So, I need to get my shop in order before then.

I completed two new illustrations yesterday, and I'm hoping to get two more done today.
I'm also hoping to get a good screen print done by the end of the day....but we'll see how that goes.

Woot woot!

I've been so busy!
I updated my Etsy shop, went to a meeting with some lovely crafty ladies, and went to pick up my........ (insert drum roll please) iPhone! woot woot!

I've wanted an iPhone since the very first one came out. Right now it's a bit overwhelming. I'm not 100% sure how to use it yet, but it seems easy enough....I'll get there :)

I'm mostly excited that I can check my mail e-mail while I'm a work! Yes!

okay, I seriously need to get some work done today. Seriously.

New Paintings

So I didn't get much done today.

Lots of ideas running through my head, but I don't really know what direction to go just yet.
I've also been trying to brainstorm so new ideas for venues to sell at.

I'm thinking maybe I'll just do a yard/art sale at my house. I mean, all the craft fairs aren't for months, and the last one we had, well, we made some pretty good money. Maybe I just need to take some matters into my own hands, instead of relying on other people/events to do it for me. I don't know...something to think about.

Well, I did get these few paintings finished today too. I am having a very hard time photographing them. I just can't seem to find the right light in my house...I'll have to re-take these at some point, but I really wanted to get them listed today.

Yes!

Yes!

So I got to spend my day in my studio this afternoon. I love it. So much!
It's so great to be able to make a big mess on the floor and not have to worry about cleaning it up anytime soon. I love the quirkyness of it too. It's right next to the railroad tracks in the industrial area on SE Portland. So there are a lot of noises going on. There are of course the big trains that go by, but there is also a rooster somewhere in the building and you can hear it call out every so often.

I can ride my bike there too, which is wonderful. It's not the shortest ride, about 20 minutes, but it's the route is through some very beautiful neighborhoods, and it's pretty much all downhill. The ride home is a different story...but that's ok.

So I've been getting back to making work, and it feels really great!

Things have been going really well life wise, business wise has been a little bleak. My sales have seemed to halt since moving here. I've gotten a couple of sales, but it's not what it use to be...
I'm hoping that it's just a summer slump, and that it will pick up quickly. I've purchased a couple of ads too. I bought an ad on Facebook on Sunday, and I got 40 clicks through to my Etsy, but no sales. I also traded for some ad space on IndieFixx, and that seems to get some clicks too, and a couple of sales. i also just bought an small ad space on LillyElla blog. That goes live in July, so hopefully that will help out a bit too. We shall see...

La la la la la la...

Not a lot to say today.
Ran a lot of errands, went to the art supply store, and ate a burrito.

That's about it.

I wish I had buckets of money to buy art supplies with.
Why are they so freakin expensive??
Seriously. I bought three pieces of paper, two pens, and two tubes of paint, and it totaled $45.00!
WTF? Seriously??

Okay, so they weren't your typical paper, pens, and paint. They were pretty high quality items, but when you break it down, well, they were paper, pens, and paint....

Anyway, that's all I got today.
I'll be adding lots of new things this week, so be sure to check it out...
